CSC Signs Four New Clients for RISKMASTER Claims and Risk Management Software

January 30, 2008

Two Companies Also License CSC's Legal Solutions Software

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that four organizations representing a wide range of industries, including building/construction services, health care and senior citizen living centers, have licensed CSC's RISKMASTER software and its business intelligence solution component, RISKMASTER BIS, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their claims administration and risk management processes. The CSC clients are Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services Inc., Brookdale Senior Living Inc., East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine and PBS&J.

Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services, one of the largest industrial services companies in North America, also licensed CSC's Legal Solutions Suite (LSS) software. The client will retire its internal systems for tracking claims and legal matters, replacing them with CSC's RISKMASTER, BIS and LSS managed hosting services to lower its information technology (IT) support costs. "One reason we chose RISKMASTER was for BIS' advanced reporting capability, which will give us easy access to our risk and claims data," said Bruce Court, director of Risk Management at Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services. "CSC's Legal Solutions Suite will help us more effectively manage our legal expenses, giving us greater control over claims costs and a more integrated approach for our organization."

Consulting architecture-engineering-science company PBS&J licensed CSC's Legal Bill Analyzer component of LSS to improve the review process for external legal expenses along with RISKMASTER, which will consolidate data from multiple carriers, third-party claims administrators and self-insured in- house claims.

East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine will use RISKMASTER to gain better access to data on patient safety-related occurrences and speed analysis to prevent future incidents.

Brookdale Senior Living, which owns and operates more than 500 senior housing properties in 35 states, has licensed RISKMASTER to replace the company's in-house system for administering auto, property, and general and professional liability claims, as well as consolidate workers' compensation data from third-party administrators. "These companies illustrate the diversity of the more than 500 self- insured organizations that are part of the RISKMASTER community," said Ray August, president of the Property and Casualty Insurance division of CSC's Financial Services Sector. "CSC provides this community with innovative software tools that help it better understand and manage risk."

CSC's RISKMASTER software offers complete claims management, from first notice of loss to final disposition, along with a flexible risk management information system. Today, the system supports more than 15,000 users, which is more than any other independent risk management software. It is browser- based and can be installed at a client site or hosted by CSC. Its business intelligence solution component, RISKMASTER BIS, gives users interactive Web access to claims and loss reports, database information and other business data from a single collaborative environment.

Legal Solutions Suite simplifies billing, tracks outside counsel performance and promotes best practices in managing legal matters. Its three components, Legal e-Bill, Legal Bill Analyzer and Legal Matter Manager, work together in an end-to-end legal management process.
